Looking Ahead to the 6th Annual Summit
The fifth edition of DemocracyXChange spotlighted the theme Courage Through Chaos, and engaged nearly 800 attendees in April 2024. The multi-day event featured speakers and workshops that examined current issues such as: trust in governance, misinformation, social and economic disparity, art as activism, and polarization; with a special focus on the role of democracies in confronting the existential threat of climate change. Integrity of Information
How and where people get their sources of information continues to evolve. We’ll examine the latest tools that people are turning to, the ongoing policy debates and the chaos that ensues in this quickly moving space.
Democracy Futures
Workshop & Toolkit
The Democracy Futures Workshop, established in 2023, invited DXC participants to consider what we might start doing today to help us move closer towards a democracy that is resilient, successful, and sustainable.
The Democracy Futures Toolkit is an open-source digital toolkit to explore the Future of Democracy in Canada. Designed for DXC24 by OCAD U CO, the toolkit provides strategic materials for those who wish to participate in, or facilitate, a Three Horizons workshop themselves, to explore the future of democracy.
